One British couple was going through the basement of their old family house when they came across this. They discovered a perfectly intact Victorian kitchen all the way back from the 1830s. It was completely stocked with pots, pans, a cooking range, and enough tables and benches to sit 20 people. There was also a cookbook there with Victorian recipes.

Another example of a couple that moved into a new house with no idea of what they would find is Linda and Wally DeForest. As Linda was unpacking things in the basement, she made an intriguing discovery. She called her husband and said that she found a torpedo in their basement. As one would expect, Wally was pretty skeptical about that, but he still looked into it. It turns out that his wife was right.
