The children who came to life through the eerie master race program had a shadow cast over them for their whole lives.

As most of them are dying out, their horror-filled lives will chase them to the grave. “We will never be rid of the stigma, not until we are dead and buried,” one of the Lebensborn children explained.

Real Trauma

Another Lebensborn child recalled that men in his Norwegian village chased him and carved a swastika into his forehead with a nail.

“I don’t want to be buried in a grave,” he claimed. “I want my ashes to be scattered to the winds – at least then I won’t be picked on anymore.”
