Star of the 2017 film The Big Sick Zoe Kazan belongs to a well-established family in Hollywood. Her dad is screenwriter Nicholas Kazan whereas her granddad was Elia Kazan, a noted director. Her grandpa definitely passed on his eyes and nose to Zoe, but hopefully, she doesn’t develop a bad reputation like he did when he was in the industry.

Controversially, Elia testified against a lot of his colleagues back in the 1950s in the anti-communist witchhunts conducted by Senator Joseph McCarthy.
