Back in January 2016, Carlson wrote about Trump for his Politico piece. In this piece, he says the things Trump says are “shocking, vulgar and indisputably true.” In addition, Carlson claimed Republicans and Democrats are responsible for Trump, claiming his rise is due to the “intellectual corruption of the Republican Party.” He went on to criticize conservatives who claim Trump damages conservative principles.
